Hello! I’m Joan Dy and I write the blog for my small business, TypeProof Services, an online service that helps ESL learners, college applicants and job hunters. I started TypeProof Services in 2003 during my first semester of graduate school, when several students requested help in editing their dissertations and book manuscripts. Since then I have traveled abroad to Ireland, the UK and Korea, teaching English and helping students get into MBA programs, apply to their dream jobs, and write better essays. I’ve met many people who have high ambitions to get into business school, get their book published, or win scholarships, and helping people achieve those goals keeps freelance editing and coaching fun and challenging for me.
I enjoy traveling and meeting people with different perspectives, interests and experiences. I’ve spent the past seven years teaching, writing and tutoring, and now have two assistant editors on board. If you know of friends, family or colleagues who need help, please pass the word on to them — we’d love the chance to get in touch! Feel free to drop us a line at info@typeproofservices.com, or visit us at http://www.typeproofservices.com!
